Continuous Upskilling, The Only Way Forward

A massive research study in the U.S. found that “teachers who receive ‘substantial’ professional development — that is, an average of 49 hours in the nine studies — can increase their students’ achievement by about 21 percentile points.” ..REL Southwest

TAUS Foundation approach is designed on the recommendations of various government appointed commissions. The core theme of all of these expert recommendations to enhance the quality of student learning is by improving the efficacy of the teachers by helping them improve their professional standards and affording them the opportunity to continuously upskill.
We at TAUS Foundation are of the firm opinion that teacher-training programs should be seen as a process by which the quality of teaching and learning can be regularly improved to foster an attitude of lifelong learning, inculcating a sense of hope and purpose, and to become an effective and productive member of the society at large.

TAUS has so far helped 750 teachers, from across 60 schools, gain Level B certification from the British Council.
